Dembele wins Ballon d’Or 2025 award
Ousmane Dembele, France International and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward, has been named the winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or, football’s most prestigious individual award.
The announcement was made on Monday night at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, where the world’s biggest stars gathered to celebrate and reward the best players of the previous year.
28-year-old Dembele won the coveted individual prize ahead of Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
The prize was presented by former PSG and Barcelona superstar, Ronaldinho.
Dembele takes over from Manchester City’s Rodri, who won it ahead of Real Madrid winger, Vinicius Junior.
The women’s Ballon d’Or winner is Aitana Bonmati of Barcelona.
Aitana beat Arsena’s duo of Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo to the award.
