FG declares Wednesday public holiday

The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, September 27, 2023, as a public holiday in commemoration of the Eid-el- Maulid celebration by Muslim devotees.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by Oluwatoyin Akinlade, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, on behalf of Hon Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior.

Tunji-Ojo congratulated Muslims for witnessing this year’s occasion.

The minister also urged them to emulate the spirit of love, tolerance, perseverance, and patience which are deep spiritual virtues that the Holy Prophet Muhammad exemplified.
