EFCC arrests 34 suspected internet fraudsters in Ekiti

At least 34 suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested by the operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The alleged fraudsters were arrested in the early hours of Monday, June 23, 2025, at Iworoko and Ijado areas of Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State following credible intelligence about their suspected fraudulent activities.

In a statement released by Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity of the commission, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, on Thursday, the items recovered from them include 11 exotic cars, laptops, several mobile phones, and incriminating documents, among others.

“They will be charged in court when investigations are concluded,” the statement added.
