EFCC nabs E-Money over alleged currency abuse

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested a Lagos socialite and businessman, Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, popularly known as E-Money, over alleged naira and dollar abuse.

Mr. Dele Oyewale, EFCC spokesperson, confirmed this to newsmen on Tuesday.

E-Money was arrested at his residence in the Omole area of Lagos on Monday night after an event where he was allegedly caught spraying US dollars.

Reports indicated that preliminary investigations were already ongoing, and the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

The EFCC spokesperson simply said, “The report is true, he was arrested last night.”
