Colleagues, fans mourn, as Mohbad dies at 27

By Paul Adigun. Singer and rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, professionally known as Mohbad has been confirmed dead.

A member of his family announced this online: “It is with great sadness that we confirm the passing of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba a.k.a. Mohbad (Mohbad) today, the 12th of September, 2023. Mohbad was light until the very end, and as we mourn the loss of the brightness he carried, the family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time. Imole is finally at peace”.

The ex-Naira Marley’s signee was first signed to the Marlian record label in 2021

The successful singer, Mohbad once claimed that he was assaulted and threatened by his former record label boss, Naira Marley in 2022. 

In reaction to his death, his colleagues in the music industry penned their tributes. Some of his colleagues who reacted earlier include; Seyivibez @B$baby; “May you find peace wherever you’re, Imole”, @asake music; “RIP IMOLE”, @fireboydml; “Rest easy Mohbad, May your soul find peace”, @omahlay; RIP, my blood.

Meanwhile, fans reacted differently to Marlian music and Naira Marley, the record label boss, in a comment section on his Instagram page for threatening the deceased.
