Ondo SSG dies two weeks after surviving road crash
Mr Tayo Oluwatuyi, the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, is dead.
Popularly known as Tukana, Mr Oluwatuyi passed away on Saturday, at an undisclosed hospital.
Announcing his death via a statement, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, the state Commissioner for Information and Orientation, stated that the SSG was involved in an accident on Sunday, 15th December, while travelling to Ibadan, after which he was hospitalised.
Prior to his appointment as the SSG, Mr. Oluwatuyi had served in various capacities, including Chairman of Akure South Local Government, Commissioner, and twice as SSG. “He will be remembered for his invaluable contributions to the development of Ondo State,” he said
“The government of Ondo state extends its deepest condolences to the Oluwatuyi family of Akure, friends and associates during this difficult time.”
“Further details regarding memorial arrangements will be shared as they become available,” the statement concluded.
Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Ondo State Governor, approved the appointment of Oluwatuyi as the Secretary to the State Government on January 24, 2024.
