Police arrest Pastor for defiling minor in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 43-year-old pastor, Clinton Oscar John, of Mega World Healing Ministry for defiling a 16-year-old.

The girl’s family in the Giwa Agbado area of Ogun State reported the defilement case at the Agbado divisional police station.

According to the parents, their daughter has been repeatedly treated for recurring infections. She also exhibited frightful tendencies that made her parents suspicious that their daughter may have been involved in sexual intercourse while concealing the identity of the person.

After much persuasion by the parents, the victim later confessed that Pastor John has been violently having illicit carnal knowledge of her since November 2022.

The girl further stated that the pastor threatened to kill her if she ever disclosed the affair to anyone. The suspect was thus arrested by the men of the Agbado police station.

Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and admitted that time after time, he had illicit carnal knowledge of the 16-year-old.

The victim has been issued with medical forms for treatment and examination.

Pastor Clinton Oscar will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran for discreet investigation, the police stated.
