Rivers Governor presents 2024 budget to five lawmakers

Siminalayi Fubara, the Rivers State Governor has presented the 2024 Appropriation Bill to the state House of Assembly.

The governor made the presentation on Wednesday during a plenary consisting five members of the house loyal to him.

This development comes a few moments after the state government commenced the demolition of the House of Assembly complex.

Recall that 27 members of the House who are loyal to the former governor and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike had dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The 27 lawmakers were absent when the governor presented the budget on Wednesday.
