Ondo NIPR mourns the passing of Akeredolu

The Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter has expressed sorrow and condolences with the government and people of Ondo State over the death of late Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON. The Institute stands with the  people and government of Ondo State in this challenging times.

In a press release jointly signed by the President, Funmilayo Ikueduranni, ANIPR and Secretary General, Sunday Olusegun Omosule, ANIPR, the Institute conveyed its shock upon receiving the news of Governor Akeredolu’s passing. The late Governor, often referred to as the ‘talk-and-do’ Governor, is remembered for his dedicated service to humanity, leaving an indelible mark not only in Ondo State but also beyond its borders.

The leadership of the Ondo NIPR acknowledged the grief and pain experienced by the state and extends heartfelt condolences to His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who now assumes the responsibilities of leading the state through this difficult period. The members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations commend Aiyedatiwa for his loyalty in pursuing the REDEEMED cardinal programmes initiated by the late Governor Akeredolu.

The statement reads in part: “The entire members of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, Ondo State Chapter commiserate with the government and people of Ondo State over the death of our amiable Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, CON. The Institute receives the news of the demise of our amiable Governor with shock, but we are consoled by the fact that he lived a life of dedicated service to humanity, both in Ondo State and beyond.

“The Institute shares in the sorrow and pains at this period with Your Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. While we join you to mourn this shocking tragedy of unimaginable proportion, we equally wish you success in the complete execution of your Master’s blueprint, knowing fully well that you have remained loyal while pursuing the REDEEMED cardinal programmes of the late Governor Akeredolu and we hope that God will grant you and the deceased family, the courage to bear the loss. We pray for the repose of the soul of our ‘talk-and-do’ Governor.”
