Oyo Govt announces September 26 to crown Ladoja as 44th Olubadan

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved Friday, September 26, for the coronation of Oba Rashidi Ladoja, former governor of the State, as the 44th Olubadan.

It was further gathered that the state delegation met with Ladoja and other members of the Olubadan-In-Council at his Bodija private residence on Wednesday.

It is the first time the governor is visiting the monarch since his (Ladoja) return to Ibadan.

When contacted, a media aide to the 44th Olubadan, Adeola Oloko, confirmed the development to reporters.

“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.

“The ceremony is billed for the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.

Recall that Ladoja had, on Tuesday, met with the kingmakers at his residence.
