Port Harcourt Refinery begins production

Nigeria’s owned Port Harcourt Refinery has commenced processing crude oil production.

Olufemi Soneye, spokesperson of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, made this known on Tuesday.

According to him, the Refinery commenced operations with 60% capacity.

He noted that the Refinery is processing 60,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

The Port Harcourt refinery has a combined 250,000 barrels per day capacity.

This development comes after failing to meet several deadlines.
